About Whistles

There is much more to making a quality whistle than you would expect. Whistles manufactured by American Whistle are made of brass, an alloy of copper and zinc. The fact that our whistles are most commonly plated with nickel gives rise to the common misconception that they are made of steel. We use brass because it offers the same tone and resonance qualities that make brass effective in musical instruments. Though a relatively expensive metal, we continue to use brass exclusively because it delivers the high-quality long-life and sound that whistle-blowers demand!
